Make memories on the lakefront! Take a spin on the Carousel presented by Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, paddle around the picturesque lake in a whimsical paddle boat, take a leisurely walk along the boardwalk, or play at the playground. There is an attraction for everyone!

The Carousel

The Americana-themed classic carousel is located along the lake path next to the playground.

Paddle Boats

Dragons, swans, and ducks, oh my! The Paddle Boats are located on the boardwalk, near Silver Diner.

Playground

Children can jump, climb & slide at the expansive ADA-accessible playground located near the Carousel. Featuring lots of shady seating to enjoy a sweet treat from rio’s many family-friendly eateries.

The Serenity Spot

Offering a serene respite along the lakeside Path to Wellness, presented by Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center.

Public Art

Explore rio’s amazing selection of public art pieces located throughout the property!

Fish Feeders

Fish feeding stations are located at the gazebo and along the boardwalk. A handful of fish food may be purchased for 25 cents.
